Tinkering around…

As I’ve not had the greatest number of work hours at GameStop (hinthint, if anyone knows of any job openings decently within the Perimeter for someplace other than McDonalds…. ;_;), I’ve been tinkering with Loadofcarp via a new little tab you can see at the top of the page, titled “Blissfully Hooked.” Although there isn’t much to it yet, it’s my little personal project of creating a wedding website for Fish and I.

Right now I’m mostly creating the skeleton of it, including page titles as placeholders, general outlines of what will go on them, and links to related pages so it’s easy to get around. Sorry I don’t have buttons set up, though maybe I can create some by using Gimp, a free Photoshop-style picture editing program.

Of course, the only pages that have any meat to them yet are those for places to visit in Atlanta and eateries I thought of to mention. Because I obsess over being entertained and fed. Not sure if I have enough there yet to ask for constructive criticism…but I at least want visitors to be aware that it exists!

  • There is no area for feedback in Blissfully Hooked. I’m attempting to locate pictures of that cake I promised you pictures of. I will speak with Carolyn (note* this is her first name which she hates, so don’t call her that to her face- I use it for differentiation between her and another friend of the same name) this afternoon since I’m headed up that way and let her know you may be interested, even if it’s an indefinite time away. You should add amazing places for visiting folks to visit! Like Dr. Bombey’s and Dante’s Down the Hatch and Flying Biscuit and…these are all food places…

  • :( I know there’s no feedback area, that’s the main reason I had to do a Blog post — and I don’t believe it’s possible for me to make a secondary blog for there either.

Also also, I did add Dr. Bombay’s and Dante’s, they’re under Blissfully Hooked > Visiting Atlanta > Restaurants. I plan to have a few pictures up of them eventually, rather than just links to their official sites.

Sorry some of the pages aren’t easy to find, again…it’s a little troublesome trying to set things up so that they’re super-simple to look at when everything’s under a tab to begin with. I could try to do my own page via one of those (supposedly) free wedding sites, but I figured it’s overall more convenient to just have it attached to Loadofcarp since everyone already knows the website.

  • It would be easier to have here. Plus then it would all be done by you and only you! I’m thinking of starting my own bloggy type website and adding info for my own there since mine will be unusual at best-although I currently know nothing of such things and own no computer, but those can change. I hope I didn’t sound too cryptic in my first comment. I just wanted to add ideas. You know how we get excited about wedding stuff….

  • Of course, of course! I always appreciate feedback of every type, and since I’ve finally got a little ring on my finger I’ve become way too interested in all things wedding myself.

I definitely say you should try out a blog, especially for yourself to remember all the little things about setting up home and to entertain yourself when the boy is away. I have a terrible memory, so I do it more for my own benefit to look back at than anything else. ^_^; It’s not for everyone, but it’s definitely more fun than a diary. :P
