You wake up to find yourself in a plain, white room, with nothing in it but a table. You stagger to your feet and to the table. On it, is a note and two buttons, a green one with the letter A and a red one with the letter B. You decide to read the note before further action;
“You have been selected for a scientific experiment.
You have two options. Button A unlocks Door A. Button B unlocks Door B. Pressing Button A & B at one time will lock both. Pressing one will lock the other.
Room A isn’t an actual room. It could be described as a small apartment. It has one bedroom, one bathroom, a library and a large central room. It is constantly kept at a temperature of 65F. You will be fed three times a day (your requested meals); drink, alcohol and tobacco-products will be given as requested. You may have any object you want, as long as it is inanimate*. Computers, radios, recorders, and televisions are not allowed. Music-playing devices (that do not give news), non-news based literature, movies and video games will be given at will. Movies include recorded episodes of television shows, but not news-based programs. You will have no human contact. You will request things through a speaker. If you try killing yourself, you will be sedated and the object will be removed.
Everything you do will be recorded, everything you do watched, documented and shown to the public via global TV.
You may leave room A after 20 years.
Room B leads to a small room, with nothing but a small table in it. On the table is a gun, with four bullets.
The choice is yours.”
What do you do?
*If you manage to stay in room A for six months, you will be given a new option. The option for artificial company, the company of clones. These may be clones of anyone; friends, family, celebrities (dead or alive) or fictional characters. You may even describe someone for us. But they have a set personality, and will not alter from it. They may be taught, as long as it does not alter their personality. You may kill them, replace them, or collect them.
